Professor Robert George, direct of the James Madison Program at Princeton University, published an article in the Wall Street Journal entitled “A Solution to Campus Extremism.” In the article, Professor George argues that the current rise in extremist opinions on both sides of the political aisle can be traced to illiberalism and dogmatism in higher education. He documents the rise of new civics programs at universities across the country as a powerful antidote to extremism, both on and off campus.
