Prof. Robert P. George, the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and the director of the James Madison Program for American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University, delivered the 2026 Kellogg Lecture in Jurisprudence at the Library on Congress on April 9, 2026. The biennial Kellogg Lecture is one of the most distinguished honors in the field of international jurisprudence.
Prof. George’s talk was entitled “Why Liberal Secularism Failed,” and proposed an alternative account of justice and co-existence that takes into account the far-reaching and high-stakes disagreements at work in American society today.
